"Yeah, they have to," Eddie agrees, leaning closer and studying the numbers and symbols. In another scenario, like a classroom, this would seem too much like homework, but here, it's closer to DnD, solving puzzles, working out a way to make it onto the next level.

A lot of teachers have written Eddie off over the years, but his eyes light up almost immediately.

"It's a code," he says, then points at a small, locked box across the room. It's not immediately obvious, but under the combination lock is a series of symbols. "They match, see? Okay, you go over to the box and tell me what the symbols look like and I'll tell you what number to put into the lock."
