"It'll be fun," Eddie answers and then he makes a bit of a bold move and lays his hand on her knee, below the hem of her skirt, but high enough that it isn't entirely innocent. He grins and leans in to press a kiss at the edge of her jaw, quick and sweet.

"Even if we're completely terrible, we'll have a great time," he promises as the car pulls up outside the escape room place. He's not sure what else to call it, the location they've arrived at, this low, squat building at the end of a strip mall. From the outside, it looks like just another store, but once they've climbed out and Eddie opens the front door, it's like going into another world.

Each room is advertised overheard different doors and he looks from one to the other, then points at theirs, down a long hall. "That's us," he says as he heads to the front desk to check them in.
