All of Hawkins had heard the story of Will Byers. The wrong story, as it turned out, the real story much more harrowing and terrifying, and Eddie has really only gotten bits and pieces of it now.

What he knows for certain is that Will survived in the place where Eddie died, and he did it for a long time. So he'll follow Will wherever he goes.
